NATURAL SELECTION.

“A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.”

~Darwin, 1809-1882

Back to back in the studio workshop…..

You might remember the “Evolution” sketch done a short time back. I had to see what else is possible through screens and different processes. Going through another traditional printing method that’s  more complex then it sounds-hours of preparation, mixing, washing, exposing, coating etc,  definitely can test your patience and discipline, especially when you’ve used machines before to run through it.

So why do it?

ps1_juncha1

Why waste your energy?

ps4_juncha

Why bother going through hours of technical mechanics and toxic waste?

ps_juncha

Why bother running through the headache of human labor when computers can define real speed?

ps7_juncha

… and on and on–I think it’s like any other trade. The more you choose to invest-not just through your pockets and mouth, but through your core being, and your willing to sacrifice that time to focus and learn then anybody can move forward. But how many really make that choice?

Painting, designing, illustrating and tattooing  all lay on the surface of the one consistent and deeply rooted foundation of the will to create.

ps9_juncha

You do it for the experience, you give yourself to grow, you focus in even when there’s a million things to do, and you study to learn,  devoting yourself to the trade and everything involved with  it. Discipline=Freedom.

More to come with these prints.
