Joshua came through to get his first tattoo in memory and tribute to his father.

Hit out of the blue with cancer, Josh’s father passed on just recently. Being a loving father, the son decided to dedicate his left sleeve to his pops, and without realizing that it just happen to land right before father’s day!

The pic we decided to use was taken just last december before the illness developed. In the last moments, Josh’s dad went all out, sky diving and living life the way it should be lived-FEARLESS!

We still have another session to go, but definitely a solid start. Well done Joshua and happy father’s day to all!

The fellow artist Miguel of Lowrider Tattoo came through to work a little on his right sleeve we started a short while back.

Miguel’s favorite animal happens to be the peacock so we decided to begin to lay the foundation for it.

STUDIO.
Friday, June 19th, 2009
The last three days has been rough but thanks to my boys we finally settled in the new nest. Tucked away and hidden on the back end of the westside of L.A.

Here’s a glimpse of studio space. For all artists regardless if it’s tattooing, painting, designing, drafting, animating or all of the above can tell you that the studio is really like a second home…or if your an addict it’s primary.

With the work that’s ahead of us, we’re going to need these guys help….

Here’s one from the archives, DJ Rick One came through to finish off his sleeve we started nearly two years ago.

Rick One is known for his mixing and DJ work with The Black Eyed Peas, and is currently mixing all through LA’s clubs and artists in the hip-hop industry soon to hit radio waves.

In proper mix with Rick’s lifestyle, we went with spining hands of Justin Bua for a focal point, one of my personal favorite influential painters.

Here’s a quick peak at Rafael’s leg who drove through from San Diego, still a ways to go.

Megan Fox is definitely one of the prime reference models for inspiration for tattooing women. And the women is a collector of tattoos herself. By the way did you hear about the special effects in the new Transformers, seems pretty interesting, …..

GENTLE GIANT.

The homegirl Yen came through to seal off her right side piece we started not too long ago. First tattoo, second session.

Here’s another example of a women of class, Yen came through determined and specific in the meaning behind the work. Elephants and flowers portray the Cambodian blood, balanced by the flourishes influenced by Thai pattern work, all to symbolize strength, family, and peace…

good combination.

Women always amaze me with their straight endurance for pieces like this. Well done Yen.

And check out Yen’s man Steve. Steve like his woman, is also dedicated and is in the process of starting his right sleeve. Here’s the result of the last session on the left.
